A letter from our co-founder, Andrew Smith

Shane and I launched Yuppiechef from my lounge in Plumstead in 2006, back when the world was just starting to get hooked on Jamie Oliver and other celebrity chefs. We set out to make available the products and brands that people were seeing on television, but couldn't always easily get hold of.

We wanted to empower everyone to feel that even if all they could make in their kitchen was a tomato sandwich, at least they could enjoy preparing it with a decent German knife and serve it in style.

Tools and ingredients don’t turn ordinary people into a Gordon Ramsay, but they can change the way you feel about being in the kitchen and help you be a better cook.
